Mr Smudge, 12 month old male Border Terrier cross - Stroud, Gloucestershire





Beautiful little Smudge, or Smudgey which he answers to, is a slightly scruffy terrier mix boy of approx 12 months old – the nearest match would be a Border Terrier in regards to looks. He weighs approx 6 kilos. He was living as a stray, but being friendly used his charms of persuasion to get some people to feed him. He is a bright little chap and kept coming back so they managed to find a rescue space for him. He was lucky enough to have found a foster home where he lived with another terrier bitch. He has now living in Gloucestershire with two little girl terriers and a cat.

He loves playing with his companions, adores other dogs and enjoys regular walks. Out on walks he is fine off the lead although it has to be remembered that he is a terrier and he doesn’t always come back straight away. However, he never runs off, but will follow other dogs as he is so friendly so care will need to be taken when he is near roads. After his walks he is very relaxed around the house and loves cuddling up on the sofa next to you. Smudge is also fine travelling in the car and is house trained.



Smudge is a very friendly, outgoing cheeky chappie and very much deserves a wonderful home of his own. In fact he has a wonderful temperament and we can’t fault him – he would make a great therapy dog. He is very loving and loves everyone!

Smudge would benefit from training classes to round off those edges and make him even more perfect. He does pull on the lead as its likely new to him and he hasn’t been walked on one before. He does have the habit of de-stuffing toys if they are soft and anything furry he will nibble at (his foster mum has a furry cushion)! He is a very sweet boy who would settle in most homes but would prefer a home where he is not left much but if someone does work part time then another dog for company would be good. He needs someone who loves walking so that he will get his runs every day and be at the centre of family life. At night he would much prefer it if he could be with you in the bedroom and he sleeps happily on a bed on the floor. The cat he is fine with but we think a less confident cat he would chase - but there is no malice in him.



Mr Smudge definitely ticks a lot of boxes and would be perfect for anyone looking for a sweet natured easy going dog.

Mr Smudge has been neutered, is fully vaccinated & micro-chipped.
