Why are folk so hyped; the Mayan thing is simply th eend of this cycle and not the end of the world. A new cycle begins then is all.

Makes no difference to me as I work on as folk need to eat every day!

Had to laugh at that Bev, Clive is one of these that are convinced it's the end of the world, especially when he heard that the politicians are moving underground whilst the offices are decorated...everything is a conspiracy

Theres no point worrying about it and I am sorry for those that do. If its going to happen and the end of the world comes, which it will one day I expect, then I daresay it will be quick and we won't know much about it anyway.
Hopefully see you all to chat on 22nd .

it took me a while to 'get it'.

I have seen a number of ends of the world over the years and as I am still here there was clearly no truth in them

Remember the millennium predictions, all the PC were going to crash, the power was going to go off, planes were going to fall from the sky and what happened... nothing

We could spend every day worrying whether we are going to die in a car crash or have a heart attack. I think you are either that way inclined and no amount of comforting or advice from others will change your mind, or you just get on with things.

As you say Bev, if it happens then we probably won't know much about it...being only 1 mile from the coast I would most likely be squashed by a tidal wave...I wonder if I should open my Christmas choccies just incase
