Harvest Mites

Just to tell people that there is a problem with these,
at least in my area, went to agility on Sunday,Summer
was covered in an orange dust and being white showed
up very well, did'nt know what it was until yesterday when
I spoke to the lady who runs the club and she told me,her
dog was suffering quite badly, anyway, took Summer to the
vet to be checked over, and Heidi and was told that they
were clear, relief, the thing that killed them was Frontline,
it's the only product that will kill Harvest Mites, and it is
the spray not the spot on.
Apparently they don't live on the dog just hitch a lift,
but are very irritating,I admit it's the first time I've seen
these, had them on my shoes so Frontlined them as well.
These do live in long grass, but can be anywhere, there
have been quite a few cases,so thought I would let
people know.
