Funny you should mention this movie a friend gave it to me the other day. Had been warned tears were going to flow, so as yet have not had the courage to watch it yet!!

I love the film and the book. I watched the film not long after Ben was put to sleep and OMG cried a river!! I love the way how it showed how the family grew and changed over the years from when it was just the young couple and the pup to the old dog and three kids. Reminded me so much of our life with Ben. Can definately recommend both film and book to those of you who are yet to read/see it.

I watched the DVD a few weeks ago and cried my eyes out, i thought it was a happy story about a family and their dog i had now idea how it would end, i lost my lab in april aged 13 and it brought it all back to me, wont watch it again for a while.

I read the book when it first came out too and cried like a baby!
I doubt if I will watch the film, I am not a "film person". I much prefer read and put my own interrpretation on it.
