Enlarged nipple

Hi,

We noticed a few weeks ago that one of Willow's nipples has gotten bigger than the rest. She's neutered since 6 months and is now roughly 3 yr old.

No rash or itching. It's not bothering her in any way and feels perfectly normal. no irritation when we prod at it. It's about 2 or 3 times the size of the rest of them.

I'm not particularly worried about it. I just wondered if anyone came across anything similar before.

I would have it checked out asap. In fact, having had 2 bitches contract mammary cancer I`d say always check out any lumps, bumps and changes in this area.
I hope it is nothing to worry about, but I would get the dog to the vet.

I agree with C&D I would think it was very important to get this checked.
It is always better to be safe than sorry and it is obviously worrying you enough to post on here.
I'm sure she will be fine, keep us posted.

It was more curiousity that had me posting tbh.

I'll mention it when she goes for her boosters. Since she was spayed before her first heat I would have thought the chance of mammory tumors would have been extremely rare.

I must have a look at her box of incurin to see if it possibly increases the risk.

Thanks guys.
