En France, 28 personnes sont mortes tuées par un chien EN 20 ANS.
En France, 300... femmes meurent CHAQUE ANNÉE, tuées par leur conjoint.
Et c'est aux chiens que l'on fait passer une évaluation comportementale......???

In france, 28 people have been killed by a dog in the last 20YEARS.
In france, 300 women are killed EACH YEAR by their partners.
And it is dogs that we make pass a comportment evaluation.....???

Think how many people get killed in cars every year v planes.

How many times do car crashes make the headlines?

Front pages require scandal, outrage and eye catching headlines...........

Good find Lynda... anyone know the UK stats? Bet that would make for interesting comparison :/

I am pretty sure the uk don't keep stats,but do know that in the last 6 yrs 6 Children have died as a result of dog attacks.

Breeds involved:

Rottweiler (x2 in Cadey Lee Deacon’s case, 1 in Archie Lee Hirst)

Pit Bull – Ellie Lawrenson / John Paul Massey

Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Jack Russell Terrier – Jaden Mack

Evidently there are approx 3000 treated dog 'strikes' a year according to NHS records Unfortunatley they only have one tick box on the admittance form which covers any incident including a dog from tripping over it to being mauled by it. Eviently most reported incients include GSD's, Staffy's and Jack Russell's!! Very popular dogs indeed!!

6 kids have been mauled to death in last 6 yrs = approx 1 a year

2 women a week are killed by their current or ex partners = 104 a year

1 child a week is killed by it's parents !! = 52 a year

Now that perspective is very rarely published Some perspective on 'angerous dogs' is required me thinks

Kellie Lynch killed by 2 Rottweilers 1989 (not sure about date) I think 10 children have been killed by dogs in the UK since 1989

zumer mohammed aged 18 months in 2010 American Bulldog

40 year old woman killed in London 2010 supposedly by Belgian Mastiff

would appear were safer with our dogs than our husbands - better kick him out for my own safty
