Daily Thread Friday 18 Dec

Good Morning everyone, I was left wondering exactly what I should put as the heading but hope I have met the consensus of opinion.

Lynn, so sorry Dillon is still in trouble, hope you can get something sorted for him.

Griff, hope you and your mum are okay today, take care.

Got a lot on today with changing beds and giving a good clean through. Big Tesco order being delivered too and I have to find room for it all.

Have a good day all, hope you have all recovered from all your shopping expeditions yesterday, safe warm and dry and above all safe and well, God bless.

Morning Moyra title looks good to me.
Hope you find room for all the shopping and not in Steve's tummy.

I decided to sleep downstairs on the sofa last night. I am a light sleeper so would know if he was licking and where. Bit of paw licking no bottom bothering so hoping that's a good sign. Am off out this morning to meet Elaine for lunch at a garden centre in Peterborough but will worry about leaving him if he is bothering himself.
Only needed the two piriton he had at 8 last night. Didn't need to slap Anusol on his bottom as threatened.
Gorden home late afternoon if all goes to plan for two weeks holiday. If Dillon is still bothering we may see if we can get him back to the vet this evening or maybe tomorrow but I am hoping like brenda said his bottom is a bit irritated after his glands being emptied or as griff says he has a little tear maybe that is irritating.
brenda cannot put an elizabethan collar on him he had one on after a small op on his front paw a couple of years ago and he froze wouldn't lie, sit eat or drink Gorden took it off we were quite worried about his behaviour with it on.

Hope everyone is well today and all doglets.

Griff good luck with your appointment today. I have just finished remaking the bed with clean sheets and putting the hoover around the room. I think there was more hair off Amber down the sides of the bed than there is on her. She needs a damn good grooming. I must get her out for her walk now, better late than never. Enjoy your lunch with Elaine today Lynn.

Morning all, still not light here

We are going to visit the shelter that we got Pepsi from today (and all our other dogs!) We take the dogs some food, some washing powder for their bedding (they are always short) and some sweeties for the staff
So I might come back shedding a tear

Good morning

You have been busy Moyra so take it easier for the rest of the day.

Enjoy your trip out to visit Elaine and hope Gorden gets home early as planned. Hope Dillon doesn't need another vet visit and is leaving his paw alone.

Enjoy the visit to the shelter Nippy you have done you bit in helping with your other dogs.

Good luck with the nurse Griff.

Dry and quite warm down here. Teazle walked, washing done and last lot in dryer, hoovering done and now thinking of popping out a a need a jug for custard as I broke the other last year. If it was only the two of us and my son I would use the measuring jug but you have to go a bit posh with visitors

Have a good day and stay safe and good morning to all who follow.

The covers I put on the bed to protect the sheets from Amber are now washed and over the night storage heaters to dry and my sheets are now in the machine. Got Steve's to do, he is in a bit of a bolshy mood again this morning. I shall do his bedroom when he goes out to his darts dinner tonight. I have cleaned the fridge out so it is ready to accommodate a lot more Christmas tucker but Steve is still managing to get through it all so quickly.

Morning Patzy.
That's nice Nippy Jen now no smuggling a little terrier or a bigger lurcher out under your coat. Our vet put out a notification for a local shelter and asked if customers would contribute something. Well they have masses of food, treats toys and money for the cats and dogs.
Morning Sue hope the jug hunting goes well. I was thinking of getting a gravy boat this year but now there will only be three of us we shall use the measuring jug for the gravy.

Well Dillon started worrying round his bottom again earlier. Been for our walk and his poop is still a bit soft suppose it will take a day or two for it to firm up with the fibre. Have given him some yoghurt, cottage cheese two piriton and some more shredded fibrous veg. Hoping he will leave his bottom alone while i'm out hence the piriton.
Good job i'm out for lunch with a dog loving owning friend who will understand I will be worrying about him.
