Finished

I've just finished my last ever shift with Tesco and thank god I am out of that place.
I can't believe not one manager in the store takes the time out to say anything to you. Not one spoke to me at all let alone to say good luck etc.
Just proves what they are like and we are just a despensable commodity. In the few years I was with them I have managed to permantly damage my spine and been the vicitim of an armed robbery and thats all the thanks I get.
I will miss the girls I done my shifts with and got some lovely cards off them and choccies.
I've got the rest of this week and next week off before I start my new job.

Doesn't surprise me, never had any of that type of communication when I worked for a large company either, as you say we are just the plebs.
Still at least you are out of it and can start afresh. Enjoy the break!

It's so sad that you've been treated like that

At least you've got some R&R before your next job, hopefully you'll be valued a bit better

My daughter feels the same about working in Sainsburys, she says the managment just doesn't want to know if there are problems. She once broke her foot when another staff member ran over her foot with a fully loaded warehouse trolley. Two weeks after going back to work she had a stomach bug and had 2 days off and they had the nerve to say she had had a lot of time off lately. You are just a number in these big companies. I hope your next job turns out better for you. Good luck and enjoy your break.
