Wacthed Call The Midwife then Mr Selfridge, mopped the kitchen floor in stages and sorted girlie brekkies out.Off for a long soak and hoping that the pain I 'm in has stopped tomorrow, fed up now and bored. OMG Griff, there is not a chance anyone in their right mind would have defied the teachers at school, caning etc was still alive and well. A teacher once broke a ruler over my hand, and was so cross that she went and got another ruler Blackboard rubbers would come soaring over at you at the blink of an eye and chalk was a favoured missile for minor offences like moving or not looking at the blackboard PE shoes were another favoured weapon. My reflexes are still excellent

I have heard about what they used to be like, my ex boyfriend was taught by brothers, they were vile too but he was in a reform school so i thought some of their behaviour was related to that...does seem odd how people who are allegedly representatives of god can find it in them to hurt and bully kids...quite peculiar

I have never met anyone taught by nuns or brothers who had a single kind word to say about them. Given some of the less than savoury pastimes that have resulted in many of them being jailed etc., recently. One can only hope that things are no longer as horrible as they obviously were in the past. Lets face it Religion never has been directly equated to Good.

Yes Griff - another 8 episodes to go! Don't think i'll be in it for the long haul. Next week it has 15 mins to liven up and if not - it's OFF! The Mem is likewise unimpressed - so that's it's death knell in this house!

My mum turned it off last week but i thought it was o.k, i found this week hard to follow...did nip out with the dogs and thought maybe i had lost what was going on...obviously not then. I think I will give it another go and hopefully it will pick up
Sounds a bit windy outside, hope nothing breaks as i am on my own until Tuesday.

Thank goodness I decided on watching Mr Selfridge, I would have been really peeved if I had started watching something else and it turned out to be rubbish
