Deano, male "Working"Lakeland, DOB 12 – Dartford, Kent

Deano, "Working"Lakeland, DOB 12 – Dartford, Kent

Homing Requirements: Deano needs a family who understand his 'working terrier' instincts and can keep him safe i.e. with front door/back gate care re exit management and a secure terrier proof garden without 'stepping stones to get over fencing to explore noises or chase a cat. Terriers have no road sense and a tendency to chase and explore movement e.g. cycles, runners, foxes etc. So we are looking for a family with awareness. Deano can live with another dog and is fine being left.

His Story: Deano has had one home before rescue and he hasn't lived with children but many visited. Deano doesn't understand them and has nipped a 3 year old who was tormenting him. His family are not prepared to take the risk with visiting children & sought to put to sleep but the vet dissuaded them relating it to normal terrier traits around the unfamiliar. The vet neutered Deano and transported him into our care. Deano is chipped and vaccinations are being reviewed. He is fostered in South East London with an older male Patterdale.

Advert: Deano is a darling! He is crate trained and uses a crate as his bed. Deano enjoyed 2 walks a day and meets familiar dogs well, just occasionally meeting new dogs with over excitement. Deano travels secured with a seatbelt clip in the car.

Deano is an 18 month old Patterdale. Deano is doing really well settling into foster with his foster canine friend. Deano is a delight and an 'easy terrier ' in our books. A delightfully calm terrier who is easily handled and responsive to voice command.

If you are interested in re-homing please complete our homing questionnaire as a first step so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.
