Stupid woman at the bootsale today

i just could not beleive what i saw. a tiny (and excuse my spelling here) a chiwawa (sp?) curled up asleep on a dolls bed. it was tiny, i overheard her saying the puppy was 3 WEEKS old 3 weeks!!! i said and wheres her mum. oh says this woman shes with my sister. but its alright as the puppy is eating puppy food and drinking on its own. then this idiot owner says the the woman next to me. its ok u can pick her up. the puppy was shivering. weather from worry or beacause it had got windy. so she put it under a cover in this dolls bed (with a soft body doll in it) and says oh she snuggles up to this doll every night. er it wants her mum and litter mates. not a bloody doll. i walked away i couldnt trust myself to say any more. poor puppy, oh and the car next to it they had a sign up saying puppies for sale 500 quid.just wondered if they do home checks ect. or in it for the money.

Did you report them to the bootsale organisers as it is illegal?

I think an advert is OK---you just can't take real animals to sell.

I watched a litter of springers being sold from the car park at a game fair once----it was like---pick a pup, shove a lead on it and have a day out at the fair!

You can put an advert up for animals but can't have the animals there.

We were once reported at a car boot as I was hand rearng a young cocketiel. I have to take her with me so that I could feed her during the day she was being fed every 2 hours. She was sat in a cage in the back of my car and someone told the people running the car boot we were trying to sell her. She wasn't even fully fledged and was being fed from a syringe.

It would have been shivering from cold ... my daughter's Chihuahua, aged about 8 or 9 months now, shivers at night if he sleeps in our bedroom with our two hairy Mal crosses ... we have 2 fans going, and the windows wide open and he is cold even in this hot weather, so he has a warm bed with a fleecy blanket and my dressing gown to keep him snug!

Similar story here was a young girl with a 5 week old staffie down here top at our carboot today.
She said it was eating well and I explained it needed its mum and litter mates and shouldnt be out yet, the idiot breeders had said as it was a staff needed to be socialised at an early age so they sell them at 4 weeks.
Explained it was a load of rubbish but to be honest wasnt her fault as pup was a good size. The breeders on the other hand should be put against a wall and shot!!!

People drive me insane. I would have said something to the woman though....I just can't bite my tongue anymore.

I ran into a young boy, had to be right around 18 years old last night and he had 2 dogs with him. One was a 7 month old Pitt Bull/Boxer cross and another that was an 8 week old solid white pitt female. Both dogs were friendly, thank goodness. I asked him if he was going to get them spayed and nuetered soon and he laughed and said "oh no, I'm going to breed them." I asked why he would want to do that and he said "So I can make money". I told him that if he bred them correctly, made sure all the puppies were vet checked and had shots prior to going to homes, had solid contracts and everything that he wouldn't make any money. I asked if he had bred before and he said yes so I asked where those dogs were and he just looked at me. I gently told him to be careful and if he cared about the dogs at all, he would get them fixed and love them as pets. I know it fell on deaf ears but I felt better for having said my peace. I cried for the pups on my way home.
