Brill WT workshop - now can you help us Retrieve?

I took Daisy to a Working Trials w/shop yesterday run by Mark and Sandra from Essex 2000. It was great - very clearly explained and the dogs loved it. I was surprised at how well Daisy did, but...
we can`t do search squares because we have a Retrieve problem. She is completely focussed on her Ball and other stuff is not interesting. We also have minor Posession issues, but that`s not what I want to work on now.
Any books / ideas etc. on Retrieve bearing in mind that she`s not a pup?

How about back chaining it?

It has worked really well with 3 of mine, also useful as you can make sure the do not mouth the articles (which I think is a big part of WT)

Sit in bathroom with dog, clicker, inside of loo roll and titbits.

Click first for a look if dog doesn't touch cardboard roll. Then gradually expect more than a look or a nose touch.Eventually dog will put teeth round it, then you will be able to increase the time. Don't use a word yet and try not to click for spitting out----they need to learn that the holding is what is rewarded.

When dog is holding for 10/15 secs is when I put a word in---preferably one you haven't used before. Then you can generalise it.

Don't click if the dog mouths the object---that is a no no.

I think that covers how I do it but others might add a bit or explain what they do.

PS---don't worry about give yet.
