Rodney - 4 year old male Greyhound X

Rodney, Greyhound X, DOB Aug 08 – Godstone, Surrey

Homing Requirements: Rodney's owners would need to be confident with the management of a large dog. Rodney needs a fair sized secure garden. Rodney could live with another dog but has been an only dog for the last 3 years. Rodney can be left without incident. Rodney is off lead once orientated and attuned to his handler and meets all dogs well.

His Story: Rodney was found stray as a 8 month old pup. He was fostered with another dog and then homed as an only dog. Rodney's owners have lost their home and can no longer provide Rodney with the stability he needs. Rodney is neutered, chipped and vax'd. Kennelled near Godstone, Surrey.

Advert: Rodney or 'Rodders' is a cartoon character straight from 'Only Fools and Horses'! He is lanky, was clumsy and so well meaning. He needs a secure garden to express his energy and have fun. He is gentle by nature and mixes with young children very well. He needs firm, kind & confident management. He loves a settled routine. Rodney has been an only dog since homing 3 years ago although, but he did have a spell fostered with another dog.

Rodney is a Greyhound cross dog with a beautiful brindle coat. Settled in home life, walks well on the lead and runs off lead. He is sociable and his recall is affected by which friends he is meeting which determines his inclination to return. Rodney needs a family to love and offer him the benefit of their experience. He can be left and chills in the house and garden. Rodney is a comedian and will have you in stitches. He is extremely loving and very responsive to attention. As his trade mark, he has an articulated backside with tail attachment! Just look at the face! We ask you, the beauty, the innocence!

If you are interested in re-homing please complete our homing questionnaire so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.

He does have the Greyhound under carriage/shape when he is standing. We had Rodney in our rescue when he was a gangly pup. We homed him, but his owners have lost their home so he has come back to us as a fully grown adult.
