LOL reminded me of the farm up the road where Isis was born, he always said sheep were born with suicidal tendancies and they would do just about anything to thwart you and see themselves off!!!

Evening all, watched call the midwife....good job I wasn't around, that fella would have got a damn good kick in the taters!!! Takes 2to tango yet it was her punished
I saw the countryfile bit..i got annoyed as they were on slip leads...i don't mind them for an emergency but not keen for permanent walking ...each to their own I guess
1cutedog....i very rarely go out except to walk the dog, go to the hospital /doctors...i am going to try harder though lol, when the warmer weather comes it will be better for me, I can spend some time in the garden then. Poor little Sammy getting caught out in the snow...and you lol
Moyra, if it was something small I could fetch it from dunelm for you and send it on
Lynn, send Gorden to sort the guttering on the house behind us...he fixed a leak last week...it is still dripping onto our drive and now the downpipe has come off and that too is leaking onto our drive
Losos, I looked on uktv dramas website and Lovejoy is on there 60 odd episodes...they aren't in order though
LG, enjoy your retirement...develop an escape route from shopping trips and enforced socialisation Lol. My family came from cleator moor Whitehaven
TW, hope you get your viewing sorted out...i agree about this ridiculousness of clashing programs

Goodnight Harvey - you probably missed the last post - but never mind - it'll be there for you some other time. You are probably better off in bed if it has reached the point where you are going to divulge some secret or other - the lap-top is I presume the UK's equivalent of Waterboarding at Guantanamo! lol !

Evening Griff - I went fishing up near Whitehaven many years ago and in the evening met some of the locals in a nearby boozer. The end result was that on the Sunday I had a game of Rugby League with Cleator Moor Wasps.
Terrific time was had by all - apart from the opposition! lol !
Small world innit!
June - he's right about the sheep. Not only are they stupid and suicidal but if say for instance you have 200 beautiful Swaledale ewes on the moor, there is always one that looks like a cruelty case - thin - lumps of fleece sticking out everywhere etc., and it's this beggar that stand by the only gate that faces onto a road. Presumably in the hope that some kind hearted citizen will report it's sorry plight(and it's probably been jus like that for 5 years) and you'll get done by the Croolty! LOL !
Several good reasons there why I don't have them anymore! The Mem loves them - I am cattle only - hate woollies!

People up cleator are sooooo nice, we turned up to my nans old house and she asked about an old friend....she still lived round the corner, nan went and knocked on the door and she insisted we went to have tea with her....she had never met mum dad me or my brother but was so lovely. We however still call it Cumbria...nan and Tess went mad at us if we called it Cumberland Lol
That made me laugh about the sheep...Shaun the sheep is right then...bunch of devious devils. Must admit I think sheep are dead cute

Hello everyone who's still about,
I seem to be popping on quite late at the mo, probably cos hubby been on afters.I walked up town with Lauryn, so she could take holiday dates into work. I've cleaned the bathroom and did a wash. We've had a roast chicken dinner today.
It's been horrible weather wise soRosie only ran out into the garden and back, hoping its a it better tomorrow so I can get her out properly.
I hope everyone is ok, I've seen that LG has new help, I wonder if you will rest a bit more now ? I know my father in law didn't rest much when he retired
I agree with Griff, I think sheep are really cute
Brenda thought the dog pic was lovely
Moyra hope your cold has gone now
TW will admit to watching and liking country file but will admit to knowing not much about farming , I watch it because I like looking at all the lovely places they visit. Hubby's grandparents on his dad's side worked on a farm in Somerset and his dad worked on a farm when he was young too, he once told me he learned to drive a tractor when he was 11
When we go up into the Peak District I'm very careful where I walk sticking to public paths etc and where I let Rosie off the lead. But that's just common sense.
