Tamarin (lion) Tuesday 12th December 2023

Morning all. Hope you all had a good evening. Well on this 12th day of Christmas I have been sent some Tamarins, yep and the people that sent them thought I wanted Lions as well not Lion Tamarins. So I have both. That will keep everyone on their toes. Yep the kangaroos are staying Kazz. Especially Skippy. And Clarence the crossed eyed Lion. Have a good day everyone.

Morning brenda and all to follow.
Wet underfoot but not raining and the sun is slowly coming up.
We walked the steam train a little further today and halfway down a new road and he needed a rest his hip looked a little sore but we need to keep going with it, he needs that muscle.
He hates the hip brace so we are not putting it on, we want him to get some enjoyment out of his walks.
He laid down really nicely while we chatted to a lady with her Grandson in a pushchair and her Beagle he is nervous of big dogs, we were on our way home so he was feeling pretty puffed out by then.

We are popping him in the car later and going to the courtyard small shopping centre and getting a coffee, it is a nice day to sit under the gazebo with him.
Different smells, people about and new sounds. I think the garden centres are a little overwhelming for him at the moment.

I used to love the programme with Clarence and Skippy too.
You have your work cut out brenda.
griff I am glad your mum had a nice time. It's hard for her to tell everyone her marriage is over but hopefully it was good for her to get it off her chest and say it out loud to friends.
Chris glad Ted enjoyed the trees and leaving his messages.
Kazz enjoy your day, you always seem too.
Sue I bet you are counting down the days to Bens car arriving unless it already has.
I hope the M25 was kind to you yesterday and that you have a day off today.

Good morning Brenda and Lynn

You are certainly going to be busy over Christmas Brenda

Hopefully a little longer walk will prove beneficial Lynn. Enjoy the coffee out later

Pleased mum had a good time yesterday Kelly. I expect she found it really difficult telling her friends but at least they now know and give her support

The sun was trying to come out but it is now raining. Have managed to get Teazle's walk in without getting wet.

Time off Lynn what's that The M25 was good but got caught up in the rush hour traffic around Brighton on the way home. On duty this morning but got there to nobody being up, lunch boxes not done although told not to do them last night. We got to school on time which was the main thing. Back again this afternoon. Soon be breaking up from school so will get a couple of weeks off.

Ben should get his new car Wednesday or Thursday then we have the job of getting mine back home.

Yake care everyone

OOoh Sue, I feel your pain.
Why are they so disorganised, I don't ever remember with children being that disorganised.

My mum and dad and sister helped out but they would have put their feet down to this extent of help. Different times I think financially they need our help so much.
In your case parents in different countries and Ben having to work.

We have already picked up an extra day due to Lauren being given a new bigger shop to manage, so they expect her to do an extra day for opening.
Christmas we have changed from boxing day to Christmas day Gorden will have to do the 22nd and the 24th (again this year) as I now have two days with no Gorden to manage Brewster and walks and get sorted for Michael and Christmas dinner. I would have Christmas day normally to sort for Boxing day.
I will have to do them on my own otherwise he is off the wall and Michael arrives Christmas eve into the equation.
I could happily take off for a few days to be honest and let everyone else deal with the changing of plans and the work.
Our friends are going away in their new motor home on the 22nd till New year and their son and family are following Christmas eve for a few days.
It sounds quite enticing.
Retirement what we often ask is that ?

Morning all
Sue, I hope you do manage to get your time off! Likewise you too Lynn, I have never really been fussed about Christmas, I had to spend it with people I didn't particularly like and there were usually arguments caused by my mum's brother and now that's passed to my brother.
Mum doesn't find it hard to tell people at all, she's very calm about it all and if you think about it....she had accepted it last summer when I found out he was having an affair. One of the women messaged me and said " sorry your mum and dad are having a rough time at the moment"....mum made it plain her marriage is over, I just replied and said that I don't have a dad and that mum would be o.k because I would make sure she was. She told her cousin in Ireland last night and asked that she didn't tell her mum (mum's aunty) she is 92 and would be very upset so she won't be told and when mum goes home they will just be told that he couldn't get time off work and that's why he isn't there. I wouldn't be surprised if the boys don't come over and give him a hiding

Here's a weird thing. I posted cards yesterday, 2nd class all in the same postbox at the same time. One person has received one of the cards but not another one. I sent them two. One for birthday and one for Christmas. They received the birthday one but not the christmas one today. Now why would they not be delivered at the same time? No wonder mail gets lost.

That's strange brenda.
I have a card I think at the sorting office to pay £1.50 for probably my brother the younger of the two who seems to have a habit of posting a larger card and only putting the usual 1st class stamp on, he did it for one of my Birthday cards.

I have always enjoyed Christmas griff for the first time this year I haven't made a Christmas cake or put a tree up.
Just too fed up and worn out with all that's gone on and worrying about how hard Christmas day will be this year with Brewster in the equation.
Never felt this way before with any of my other dogs.
I'm hoping it will not be as bad as I fear.

I think that's sensible of your mum to not say anything to aunty and thoughtful .

We got to Ben's yard for coffee and cake.It rained on the drive over but stopped once we got there.
Brewster got some good socialising in but was wary of a man with a walker and two other men I think they were a bit quick with the hand to stroke, one of the other men he was much better with he took things slower.
He loved the ladies and while I was further back chatting to someone he and Gorden met a lady from a village not too far away who has 3 Bernese, they were not with her today.

After being a pain pulling and waiting for the ramp and jumping and grabbing at Gordens coat when he came in the door after parking the car he was good.
No impulse control whatsoever at the moment.

Well good afternoon all

Was on my way to meet some friends at the local garden centre Melbicks due to the weather torrential rain (its all under cover) and the fact my one friend has got a new pup a Smooth Collie now she is retired, and the GC is dog friendly.

The main route there was closed and the way the traffic is divered now get this they have put 4 way traffic light up and chaos nose to nose traffic why when main road is closed and everyone is gpoijg that wey due to the diversion.

Anyhow I turned around and phoned them only to hear Pam had also decided to cancel due to traffic and having the pup in the cr for a long time and had just sent me a message. poor old Janice was there on her own LOL living just minutes from there.

Will have to rearrange as I want so much to meet the pup. Pippa.

On my way home saw a friend aiming for the bus stop pulled over and we went to the pub sat by the fire had coffee and a nice catch up not seen him in ages. So turned out well.
