Hi,
Kudos for doing your homework and not jumping straight in and buying the first cute puppy you see!!

I'm sure you have thought of this already, but I'd say the most important thing to consider is what kind of dog will fit in with your lifestyle regardless of what it looks like!!

Having said that, I can't recommend lurchers highly enough! Love a good walk or 2 but will happily spend most of the day asleep on a comfy bed of some description. I've not come across many that are particularly lively in the house, but are still full of personality.

I'm sure you'll have a few replies instilling the virtues of other breeds on here too!

Good luck and I hope you have fun choosing your new best friend!!

I really like Luchers actually!!

A lot of things to think about, but I really like Rhodesian Ridgebacks.
Also, Thai Ridgebacks came up today. I haven't looked into them much yet, but can only see 1 UK breeder and the site looked like it was last updated in 2003. I want a blue one though!!
