I'm going to have to reply to your post in a few weeks, still trying to get the bamboo planted

But definitely want to hang a wall planter up at the front of the house with something nice

What are you doing for yours?

That's a lovely idea! I had two summer baskets last year but went on holiday and they died.
At least I'd be here to water a winter one - not that I'd need to with all the rain.
So what goes into them then? I can only think of evergreens or heathers, stuff like that.

I'm gonna have to do something like that outside my front door. It's so bland my garden but OH's using most of it for parking

Nothing exciting to add - pansies and ivy do it for me - cheap and cheerful, I use just one colour and if you pick off the dead flower heads they just go on and on and on ...........................

I lent Teagans crate to my friends Mum for her injured cat, and she has just given me two beautiful pansy plants.
I have got some pots, so am planting them out tomorrow, and will get a pic. They are white and purple
