Star was so bad with the play biting my kids wanted her to go back cause they did not want her anymore

She used to sink the teeth in and hang from their legs.

now she is the most gentle dog you can imagine with the kids.

So you do get there in the end.

Hi guys,

I do think it is just playfulness. Just really wanted to make sure we were doing the right thing, and not going to create problems later on. How long should you leave it after the final vacination before you start introducing to other dogs?

Your vet should advise you on the time, depending on the brand of the vaccination. Usually it's between 1 to 2 weeks.

I introduced mine to other dogs as soon as I could. The sooner the better I thought!

EDIT: Just checked my diary, and I had to wait 7 days before walking/introducing Teagan to other dogs after her 2nd Vaccination.

I introduced Star to a few dogs before she had finished her vaccinations but only dogs up to date with vaccs and inside the house.

After her second vaccination we were told to wait a further fortnight before she could mix with other dogs outside. But this varies from vet to vet.

I was supposed to wait 7 days after the second batch, but I decided not to wait and took Tamino out the day after we brought him home, and was socialising him with dogs and public places. ops: Though I never let him walk in the public places. What must you think of me.

I was eager to take Teagan out, I took her on the footpath a few times in front of the house, but there were never any other dogs there!
It's awful having to wait, when all you want to do is go out with them!
