new puppy nipping/bitting

First of all I like to say hi to everyone.
We picked up our new American Bulldog puppy about 2 weeks ago, she’s doing really well and is almost house trained and is starting to learn new things like sit, and stay. The thing is when we are playing or we are sitting quietly stoking her she occasionally starts to nip/bite. She only 10 weeks old and I want to make sure that she doesn’t get into any bad habits at the moment we tell her No! and tell/ put her on her bed. Can anyone give me any advice? Are we doing the right thing? I sure when I was younger the puppy we had at the time used to do the same thing but just out grew it when he got older. She’s such a beautiful dog and as soon has she has had her last vaccination (next week) we will start introducing her to other dogs and start taking her to obedience classes.

Thanks for any help

Its compleatly normal, dont worry, she will grow out of it, when she nips you, shout no, and fold your arms and either walk away or avoid eye contact, totally ignore her, she will soon get the message!

Congrats on your new baby!
Why dont you introduce yourself in the intro section
Look forward to seeing some pictures soon!

Star was like that too when we brought her home. They just have to learn that we are not litter mates and we dont play the same way.

We just told her no and ignored her until she stopped. It does stop, although sometimes it feels as if it wont.

Thats what I meant really- at this age I would think of it as playing

By the way they all do it afc101 so dont assume you have an aggressive or naughty puppy

It comes naturally Azz to keep you men in check
