House line success

Suki's behaviourist advised us to get a house line for her so we could start working on controlling her with confidence when strangers come in to our house. (For those not aware she is a 9mth old Dobie with fear aggression)

It cost me £1.99 and has been the best dog product I've bought so far. About 90% of the time Suki is just chilling as soon as she's put on it. Depending on the stranger of course.

She's also now sitting nicely when the family/friends that she knows come in (bum and stump wagging of course) and has accepted she'll get loads of love and attention when she behaves.

Cheers Sara - it's going to be a long journey with her but we left her for the first time with OHs sister on Friday/Saturday (it was very hard to leave her but I'm glad we've done it now - hopefully we'll get a few more nights out). She was in her own house - SIL took her out for a walk and had no issues at all. All our friends and family who are in constant contact have all been given Suki's programme to read and they have been very supportive.

It's all helping for Suki to demonstrate that she is sweet as well as overcoming her inherent need to protect us.

it's a lightweight lead - very thin webbing - ours is about 8ft long and allows the dog to move around indoors but you remain in total control.

I got it from Pet Planet - just go there and type house line into the search box.

kinda Leo - it allows us to remove her from the couch without using our voice or getting her to stay close - saving of course verbal for praise instead. It's amazing the difference its made in such a short space of time.
