Well it did cost a bit of cash...at pet planet it cost £14.99 for the bottle It is made out of cool stainless steel, the bottle features a screw lid that also doubles as a good-sized drinking bowl. There are no hinge points and won't rust.
And the bottle carrier was £11.99
made from a soft neoprene and so does not dig in or chaff
It insulates from heat or cold and so the water stays at the desired temperature for up to four hours.

Are they really worth the money?

I have one of those plastic ones that fold out but Cooper doesn't like drinking from it and it does leak, so I have a folding bowl and water bottles on my hiking bag for long walks and I've been taking water and a bowl in the car, but it would be useful for having one with me when doing 'normal' walks.

It doesn't look like it will hold much water, is it enough for 2 large dogs?

Yes we've already done these lol! Wyrd - I too have one of the folding bowls. Started to become not quite 100% waterproof now after many years of use. I need to get another as I find them EXCELLENT for putting down on uneven surfaces like the seat of the car.

I fill that little square compartment between the front seats with water for Bella when we are out and about in the car. Soon evaporates away in the heat when left in there.
