Wainwrights Turkey and Veg dry food

Hi, dog food opinions again please

Has anyone tried this food, it looks quite good on paper although it doesn't state a full ingredient analysis, just says 26% turkey and 40 % veg i wonder what the rest of it is ?

I'm thinking of trying cereal free as Bella is still itching despite going gluten free and salmon based

I use the Wainwrights wet food for my fussy poodles and they love it, their coats have not shown any change and their poos are small and firm.

I am pleased with this food and will be staying on it for the forseeable

Google tells me someone else was asking about the ingredients last month and apparently if you phone the helpline someone will read the ingredients out to you.

Did you try them all or just a few?

Odd you say that, the fish one is supposed to be the least hypoallergenic one and yet Harvey cannot tolerate it either

Dexter is now on the Wainwrights wet trays and I am seeing great results so far. I know they contain minimum 60% meat and also brown rice.

I don't use the dry food but seem to recall the ingredient list was not too bad. If you would like more info then your best bet is to contact Pets At Home as it is their own brand.

I would have thought with a sensitive dog you would need a hypoallergenic diet.

You cannot have less or more hypoallergenic, and if you COULD I would imagine you would prefer the MOST hypoallergenic ie the one that is LEAST likely to trigger an allergy!

Dogs, like humans, can have allergies to ANY protein. The only TRULY hypoallergenic food is one where the protein is hydrolised to prevent triggering an allergy.

The other thing to consider is what ELSE is different in the diet apart from the fish?

I find it very odd that a list of ingredients is not in the public domain?
