places in the peak district

Could anyone please tell me where to go in the peak district, we are going today and are planning on going to Buxton. i Need somewhere to walk in the south/mid peak district, can anyone help?

I second all of the above, have great memories of Dovedale as a kid and Carsington is a regular haunt.
