Bud; He's NOT Normal!

Reading Malka's "Foiled!" thread reminded me that my Bud is definitely a strange one! I'll have to try and get a video of him doing it someday, but that may be a bit difficult since he associates me turning the camera on with going outside. Anyhoo, most dogs like to dig in the garbage, right? Not Bud! He actually will spend minutes trying to close the kitchen garbage bag if it's open in its holder. What a monkey! Not that I'm complainin' mind you! If the bag is open while he passes by he'll nose the sides over the top, and if he can't get the bag closed to his satisfaction then he'll whine until I reach over and fold it closed for him. I try to put as little food waste into the bag as possible, so I don't think it's because it stinks. Well, maybe for him it does! I dunno. I do know that it's funnier then heck, and I really gotta try and get a video of him getting all frustrated with not being able to close it up.

Anyhoo, just babblin'.

Heyo all! I really will try to get a vid! And I think it may indeed be a burying thing; because when I fill his kibble bowl when he's not hungry, he always tries to "bury" the bowl with imaginary "stuff". (Or not so imaginary stuff if I've left anything nearby on the floor.) Unfortunately it's only the garbage bag that he closes up for me. Toys or sticks on the other hand... If I collected all the pieces of firewood he's wandered away with I'd have a couple days worth of heat!
