sam off-lead.....yippee!!!!!

hi all,

just thought i'd share my good news with you! i have found a field that is pretty secure (surrounded by a canal), so i took sam there on saturday. he was absolutely brilliant!!! took loads of treats, his hide ball (i use it as you would a normal ball), and off we went. he didnt even go flying off! had a few sniffs here and there, went over to where bronte was. then i showed him his ball, really got his attention, and threw that a few times for him. did a bit of training, some fun recalls, fun heelwork, a few tricks, then let him go off wandering, he came back every time i blew the whistle, if he didnt respond first time i just turned around and ran yelling in the opposite direction! must have looked quite a sight! dont think i'll trust him on the golf course yet though!!!! but i'll keep taking him to this field, will defo boost my confidence too! it was lovely just watching him do doggy type things, with me not hanging onto his neck!!

Oh I am so pleased as I know how much you wanted to let Sam have some freedom but safely!

Wonderful and hey who cares what you look like - it worked didn't it!

Good for you S/Girl and great news with Sam!

Congratulations! :smt041 :smt041

I totally know what it's like to have a dog with poor recall! and how lovely it is to see them be able to run around in a safe environment...can we meet you there?
