Is other animal poop dangerous?

Hi,

Today I let my dog out in the garden for a run and found him eating poo, I could smell it on him afterwoods and it smelt terrible, not like dog poo (not that I smell dog poo!). Is this dangerous? I gave him some natural yoghurt afterwoods just to settle his stomach but worrying it could have any sorts of germs in it.

Thanks

Probably cat or fox, both are hideous.

Dogs generally do not have to much problem with poo

It won't do him any harm, but you might want to worm him if he's due, just in case.
It could well be cat poo, that smells like no other and is a doggie delicacy

Normally it is not a problem, but horse poo can be if the horse was recently wormed with Ivermectin as it can easily over dose the dog and some dogs can be hypersensitive to the medication.
