Your habits change when you have a pup......

your house becomes, at the same time, tidy, (nothing interesting left lying around especially the TV zapper) and untidy (except balls, teddies, chews, bones, things that were never intended as toys but have been nabbed strewn all over the floor)

you aren't quite so proud of your garden

your voice rises 3 octaves "what a clever girlie, what a big wee-wee, look at the clever girl walk on her lead, good doggie, clever doggie, good girl, that's sooo good, good dog" all at the level of Tiny Tim (remember him?)

weekend lie-ins? No, don't remember them

rubbish previously put out for recycling is re-examined...mmmm, toilet roll/kitchen roll middle, plastic milk container, yoghurt pot, cardboard box, big paper sack - wonderful new temporary toys

you learn to peg things out so they only dangle 4 feet above ground level - trousers are double pegged, sheets and duvet covers quadruple pegged. tights - forget it!

you check before you put your feet down in case she's under

you look at her sleeping with a silly grin on your face

television? - No, don't remember that

you spend far too much time on DW!

What has slipped my mind? You must have points to add.

i think you have most of it covered Hilary apart from watching where you walk in the garden, and the amount of newspaper that now fills the wheelie bin (and filled nappy sacks)

I went from being fairly fashionable to deciding on the warmest clothes (no matter what they look like) that dont show mud stains
and now never wear white as it shows the black dog hairs

thats very true lel. My poor hubby never took into account my need for a dog walking wardrobe and all 4 kids also had to have a dog walking wardrobe and the shopping in pets at home also costs him a fair bit!!! hubby did mention that maybe i just wanted a puppy to widen my shopping capabilities!
