rough play

Now that Finn is getting bigger, Star and Finn like to play rough and being boxers they sound as if they are killing each other If someone gets hurt they yelp and play stops, they lick each others faces then start again.

So my question is do I stop their play or let them carry on and let them decide enough is enough? (which they seem to do anyway)

Let em carry on caz, juts keep an eye on them.when candy n buds play it sounds like murder and they also lick each other afterwards!!

I would probably leave them to it, they're both well adjusted so they'd probably be able to sort it out between themselves! As long as they're not fighting over something like a bone etc I can't see you having any problems!

But then what do I know!

thanks Sally and Rip. They are not fighting over anything, they just get a look on their faces and they are off rolling about the floor Its just that it happened outside on a walk tonight and we ended up with everyone staring at us thinking that they were really fighting I just wondered the best thing to do.

lol caz i can relate to that!! mine make the most awful blood curdling noises, it really worries the neighbours!!pmsl

i would let them get on with it they dont hate each other , they just need to play .. i get the same with my two .. oh thinks tysons killing topaz but they just playing .. its all in the pitch of their barks and growls if you listen carefully you can tell the diffrence

its definately play and not fighting that I am sure of Star has a high pitch growl she uses for playing.

I will try and get a video next time they start it

thanks Jeanette and SB I feel better now knowing that I am doing the right thing letting them carry on They love it and it tires them out
