Hello x_rose_x

VHC stands for VERY HIGHLY COMMENDED.

This is given to the dog that take 5th in a class, where there are five places given.

Technically there are only ever three "places" in a class. For bigger shows/breeds with normally high number of entries, "placings" can go down to 6th. To get around the "extra" places they are called Reserve (4th) VHC (5th) and HC (Highly Commended - 6th) to distinguish them from "real" places.
That's the UK Kennel Club perspective, anyway!

Which makes it quite amusing at some of our big open & champ breed shows under foreign judges as we often have cards/rosettes to 9th or 10th so after C we have 8th 9th etc
