think the word you mean is billets, spent some time in them myself, anyone see bad lads army? where they all sleep and store thier kit is a billet, good luck to him, i believe they should bring back national service, but thats another thread

I am going to put you outof your misery Leo as hubby has just come home and he knows what they are!

Did you ever watch M.a.s.h. well they are the big tents shaped like a shed apparently, where they put all the beds with proper bedding, so he should be ok in there.

p.s. sorry for "hi-jacking" your thread but I just couldn't resist that, but I won't stoop to sort that brother of mine out on your thread! Lol! I will sort him out elsewhere on here! And that Foxy of course

its his 1st camp so still learning.

cliff he is only 13 and in the cadets the 5th battalion of the sherwood foresters and loves it just a typical lad who gives me info last minute.

need to know basis, dont ya know, very sensitive operations i suspect

I think its fantastic that he is so interested and has some sort of focus at the age of 13, who knows where it will lead but its a great opportunity for him. I was in the royal anglian infantry regiment and had some fantastic times.

I know hes only young and it should be all for fun at the moment so wish him luck for me, oh and keep bullin his boots

don't talk to me about boots.............. tried all sorts and still cant get a mirror shine.
how do you get the sharp creases i hate the dps.grrrr
they always drop out have been told soap?????
he is in the process of doing bronze d of e.

boot shine hot polish and a bit of spit
yes with soap it works and then lay them under the mattress

6 years myself then i know the tricks
