Thanks everyone.
I do have accidental cover, I've never claimed for anything before, so I might give it a try, after all thats what you pay your insurance for.
It's the replacing the floor in the kitchen which will be the most expensive part.

Hopefully your insurance will cover the flooring aswell as the broken plates and stuff
