Sudden agrresiveness from older dog to pup...

Our oldest springer (7 years) has suddenly started to growl at our young dog (7 months) They got on really well but she's suddenly started to growl at him..... and sometimes for nothing at all..... She has been done and is obviously not coming into season so we're confused.

Could this be due to him 'coming of age' for want of a better way to put it?? We are trying to just distract him away from her when she starts to growl.... but we're concerned.

Little Harry was castrated yesterday.... Do you think this will help or do you think there could be other issues....

Thanks in advance!!!!

simple, his puppy "licence" has now expired, he is now a "kevin" who needs putting in his place. allow her to do so.

If you have children, do you expect them NEVER to fall out?

If you are married or a parent do you never "have enough" of your OH or kids?

The same is true for dogs, the bitch will teach your youngster some manners which he can then use with other dogs/

Personally if the older one lets a growl out I'd distract the youngster not the oldie, what she is saying is 'enough!' IMHO
