Breagh (Pointer X Lab) Fire Goddess or Asbestos Face ?

One time that I removed the spark guard tonight in the family room to poke the fire - as quick as a flash Breagh was in. She loves the fire and often gets as close as she can. You can't tell from this picture because of the flash but it was very VERY warm.

I gave her 60 seconds 'bliss' then pulled her away and put the screen back.

PS

The plastic lid is on the coal bucket otherwise we have coal stashed all over the house !

Ahhh

I remember our first cat when I was a kid used to lie so close to the fire she started smoking, we always had to physically remove her and her coat was so hot you could harldy touch her, and that was just one of your old fashioned gas fires!
Also had a black cat that would sleep in the green house on the brick floor in full sun
