Dear all

just a quick update on mum. she had her cat scan today and it confirmed what we already knew that it was a stroke.
fortunately her condition has not gotten any worse but there is no real change other than the nurse managed to feed her some porridge this morning which is the first she has eaten since saturday, a small step forward but a step none the less, baby steps on the road to recovery. a tiny step forward everyday is all we can ask and pray for at the moment, in the infinite words of tesco every little helps.

Dad and I really appreciate all the support, love and prayers you have sent our way and I will take copies of the kind e-mails you have sent with me on Saturday when I go back up to Irvine and read them to mum as I know how happy they will make her. I am sure your kind words will give her the extra strength to fight to get better.

she is in Crosshouse hospital, kilmarnock, ward 4D for anyone wanting to send a card.

I will write again in a few days with the next update on how mum is getting on.
