Ruff wear dog boots

Anyone have any experience of these boots?

http://www.ruffwear.com/Single-Barkn-Boot-Polar-Trex

I am being slowly driven insane by Cain's chewed paw and medical boots. This is the fourth time we've been through this and I'm sick of it! He needs to wear a boot for a few weeks each time he damages his paw.

The soft medical boots do not work for us as
1. He can get them off!
2. They are soft and not meant for walking on pavements wtc, so fall to pieces in no time
3. Get soaked and muddy easily
4. Fall off ALL the time

I want a boot which has a hard sole and most importantly one which stays ON! It's driving me nuts. I'm literally having to adjust his boot or put it back on every few steps on a walk. Grrrrrr.

I originally dismissed these boots as too expensive but I will pay out for my sanity. But I want to know of they do actually stay on first. Any experience?

I didn't use that model of boot, I used the ankle boots.

I used them for Mac when he used to run along side my bike, we used some back roads and his pads used to scuff.

They stayed on pretty well, kept his feet dry and lasted a while. He did walk like he had cardboard legs when I first put them on though

One of the reviews says they aren't waterproof.

I haven't used those ones I used Neo Paws
https://www.neopaws.com/catalog/neop...xl-p-1888.html
They are available in the UK, if you get them make sure you get the High Performance ones for the wet weather.

Forgot to add, I used these for years for Daisy and her dragging foot, stayed on even in long wet grass.

Thanks guys. Still not sure what to do

Celli, I tried a pair of Neopaws (although they weren't the High Performence range, it was this kind https://www.neopaws.com/catalog/regu...ts-p-1903.html) and I found that it slipped down, which meant Cain was walking on the material above the heel rather than on the rubber sole. As a result, the material wore out quickly and it just ripped away from the sole Although I wonder if the boot was too small.

I always used the High Performance one's, so I don't know about the others.
I used to have real bother keeping boots on Daisy as she scuffs one foot, it would get dragged off really easily, but those ones always stayed on. They did wear out at the toe where they dragged, but I got the Shoe Goo to patch them up.
If they were falling off I would have thought they would have been to big rather than too small.

Have you looked at Pro Active ?

I used these for a while before I switched, they didn't suit the way Daisy walks but they were good boots.

I thought they might be too small because they seemed tight on his paws and I never really felt like his paws were quite "in" the foot part of the boot properly. I guess if they didn't sit properly on the sole, that may explain why he walked on the wrong bit.

The High Performance look like they have a more substantial sole which comes up the sides a bit too. Thanks for the other link...I'll have a look...

Oh they look good! I've been thinking about booties for cycling in the icey weather these look like they'll fit the bill as ruffwear dont make a pair small enough! Let me know if anyone orders some as we could save postage costs (as they're in the US).

Do they stay on? It's always his back feet that he needs to wear a boot.
