Star Greyhound female

Meet :smt049 Star:smt049

She's a 2 year old female Greyhound

Star was originally bought as a puppy with the intention of racing her, however two years later the owner lost interest and decided he no longer wanted her. Having being kept in a kennel for most of her Star is severely under socialised and hasn’t yet been toilet trained.

Sweet natured Star is very affectionate towards people she knows, loves to cuddle into you whilst having her nose scratched. She loves her comfort, preferring to sleep on sofa and human beds. Only recently has she realised what toys are about and now loves nothing more than chasing after them and shedding her teddies. She dislikes small dogs so will need to wear a muzzle on her daily off lead walks in the park.

Star needs an experienced owner who has owned sight hounds before, someone who is at home for most of the day and is willing and able to put in the further training and socialisation that she needs. She doesn’t like being left alone and has been known to be destructive.

Star is looking for a perfect new home, a home where she will be loved and cherished for the rest of her life.

I agree! I thought she was only about year and so did our vet. Even though she was kept outside I still think her coat is very puppy like, but her owner and tattoo reg states she's 2 years :smt017

Maybe, because I also think she looks more Lurcher than Greyhound, vet disagrees, but what do you think?

I have a few fosters through with kennel coat and it does make them look more lurchery, my last one came in looking more like a lab!! I thought no way is that a greyhound but you should see her now all sleek and stunning so Star out of a kennel environment may well turn back into a more greyhoundy looking girl.

Hope she finds a wonderful forever home soon.
