Malamute / Malamute X needs new home

**Edited thread due to wrong breed information being posted. Just been told he's prob more like an akita cross***

I'm posting this thread for a friend who doesn't use this forum.

Approx 6months ago she came across a dog wandering the streets.

To cut a long story short, she decided to keep him instead of sending him off to the kennels despite the fact she has 3young girls and no time to give him the exercize or stimulation he needs.

He is a kind, loving dog and it's unfortunate my friends heart took over her common sense when she took on this responsibility as she, and the girls, have become extremely attached to Duke (thats what the 3 yr old girl decided he was going to be called)

He's fustrated and bored and because he's not getting the stimulation he needs he's quite boisterous.

She rang me yesterday to tell me she has asked the RSPCA to take him in, so I thought I'd post a thread to see if I could help find him a home before Wednesday (that's when he's being taken in)

I know how hard this decision has been for my friend but I honestly believe she's doing the right thing for Dukes sake.

I'm gutted I can't take him in but I've only just got a rhodesian ridgeback and I don't have the time or the space to accomodate him and train him.

Pictures will be posted this afternoon.... we're not sure how old he is but he looks mature and is definatley not a pup. He has beautiful black and white markings and has not been 'done'

Thanks

He's fine with my friends 3 girls, they think he's a pony. They don't have any other dogs or cats so I couldn't honestly say

Hi,

I'd agree that he's mrope of an Akita x bred. He has exactly the same face as Ellie, who's a GSD/Akita.
