I do not think I could cope with the grooming of the Mal...the one that comes training and is blowing his coat at the moment is driving me mad and I only see him once a week!

I have only known one Malamute (not great for this weather here but we have cold areas where they would suit well) the one I knew was bitey, unpredictable (owner was a numpty though so I don't hold it against the breed), and hair loss well I would be there for a month brushing one.
My answer is border terrier not due to a size issue but a hairy one
although now i have seen jed i know they are beautiful looking dogs
