Good morning to you! - Thursday!

Morning all,

This week has really dragged, but I’m hoping the last two days will whizz past.

There’s just Shirley and I, so we are going to be very busy.

I’ve had the nod that I can let the troops go at 2pm on Friday, so providing all work is completed, I’ll be on my way then too.

Can’t some soon enough for me!

I will be glad when today is over as I have the worst places to go ever today and I cannot get on those awful surgical stockings and have 5 clients I have to do them for.
Oh well better get ready to brave it, roll on 10pm when its over.

Sounds like by the time the Christmas break comes, you two will be exhausted. Not much fun being at work on the run up to Christmas. Being retired has definite advantages even if it does keep you skint

We had a bad day with Rosie yesterday. When we first got her, she passed pure blood for the first two or three days. The vet said he believed it to be the upheaval of going to a new home or possible food related so we changed her to Nature Diet and things quickly got better. Everything was going fine until a couple of weeks ago when we bought 10 packs of it with an expiry date of the end of next year. Every pack stunk to high heavens and was most definitely 'off'. Problems getting replacements (long story) so took a deep breath and changed her to Butchers puppy and she no problems at all thank heavens.

Hubby went shopping for me a couple of days ago as we had run out of the Butchers, but he go Tesco's own by mistake. I'd no option really but to try a tin which yesterday resulted in explosive 'dire- rear' and one very sorry for herself puppy. She'd only had two meals of the Tesco stuff (early and late morning).

Anyways, back on the Butchers for her two afternoon meals
and she is now fine and solid again. Bless her, she worried me half to death yesterday. Do you think pet owners were born to worry??

Decided against taking the Stronghold back as it would have cost as much in petrol to return it and with yesterday's problems, I don't want to give her a 'chemical bath' so little Rosie is having a normal bath today instead and we'll try again after Christmas.

So today? Mmm! Town for brekkie and a walk round (forecast is pretty good). A clean up of all the shredded leaflet that Rosie got her teeth around this morning and whatever else the day throws at us.

I hope Rosie continues to stay well and anything else others have planned goes to plan.

Off to mums to pack her case and bulky belongings to drop off to Norfolk then she is Michael's problem for the next few weeks. I think this is absolutely the last time I do this. Anymore shenanigans out of her when she gets home and I will be taking even more of a back seat. Today is really to help Michael although I have always had to manage on my own picking her up from hospital etc., Too nice for my own good sometimes I think.
I am just so grateful for the rest Gill and I are about to receive.

1 more sleep and we will be picking Dillon up.

OMG, I can't believe I slept through till 8 am this morning But then I am allowed to coz I'm retired dontchaknow, and the dogs don't seem to mind, even Zena's sleeping in her bed and hasn't bothered me yet, and I've usually already done my morning walk by now. Oh this is lovely!

Had a late night out with the girls last night, the meal was fantastic, the wine was flowing, we laughed till we cried, and I'm sure we must have been the noisiest bunch in there, although the big table of 10 next to us seemed to be just as rowdy By the time everybody got dropped off, and I had to sit there whilst they were still chatting at each door, I didn't get home till midnight and I'm usually in bed at 9! That's it for me now, Christmas is just me, Dave and the dogs from today on and that's just the way I like it, nice and quiet!

I won't be doing anything today, except for my long walk with Zena, hopefully that'll blow the cobwebs away and I'll feel more myself. I got a bit scared last night lying in bed, I had chest pains which is very unusual for me, they wouldn't go away had to come downstairs and take some Asprins and thankfully it went. Only usually get those climbing these great big hills, but I just stop and wait and they go, but last night it wouldn't, hmmmm, and there I was thinking red wine was good for you coz it thins the blood as my heart specialist told me, and I only had two large(ish) ones. Hey ho, I'll live!
