Back from Wales - with a few pictures!

We have had a fab time this weekend, and covered a fair few miles too. We were based in Tongwynlais ( just outside of Cardiff )

We went down to Cardiff Bay where many attractions and restaurents are, including the Wales Millennium Centre, National Assembley Office, Mermaid Quay, and many others. Glad to have visited this time of the year as in the summer I should imagine it is packed!!

Went up to visit "Castell Coch", a medieval castle which has been renovated to a habitable standard.

"St Fagans" National History Museum ( open air museum ) It shows how the people of wales have lived, worked and spent their leisure time.. ( well worth the visit )

Then we took to the roads and enjoyed the spectacular scenery, and the only snow we saw was on top of the mountains.

We drove up through the Black Mountains, which is in the Brecon Beacons National Park, and wow what a stunning area to visit.

We went up the A470 as far as Llandrindod Wells, back down the A483 to Llandovery, A40 to Llandeile, and worked our way back down to Pontardawe and then onto to M4 back to Cardiff, via a few coffee stops

Went to see friends in Pencoed, and a few other stops.

All in all a fab Easter Break, have taken many pictures but here are a few

Hi Glad to hear that you had a nice break loved the photos. I don't live far from some of the sites but its one of those things that you never seem to visit things that are virtually on your own doorstep.

If I had known you was going to Cardiff I would have asked you to drop off some bits and bobs at my oldest daughters, as she lives there and it would of saved me the drive next Sunday.

Really glad you both had a good weekend.

Hi Colin, Anytime How long does it take you normally to drive, as we appeared to get home in know time at all. We were back in 3 hours today
