Spayed wound slight opening HELP

Is it normal that Zukis wound is gaping between stitches? bleeding has stopped but now I have been able to have a closer inspection while she was sleeping. It is weepy looking but no blood

Wel I dunno about animals but if I saw a patient like that then I would definately get it seen to. Its wide open to infection so Even if its not bleeding you should get it checked out hun. Good luck xxx

I would get her back to the vet. I had a similar problem after Flame was spayed. She wasn't bleeding but was weeping liquid all over the floor The vet bandaged her up and kept her in for a day for observation. She was fine after that though.

i would agree, i dont think it should be gaping, i suppose the stitches can't be too tight or they would pull. I would ring the vet if i were you.

Yes I would do what everyone suggests and ring the vets and tell him about the wound Good luck Donna and hope Zuki is okay. Try not to worry to much - easier said than done though

Hi Donna, I don't remember Daisy or Poppy's wound being open like that. I would ring the vets as others have said, just to be on the safe side. Hope she's ok
