Laminate flooring

Can anyone help? My dog has gradually over the last few months developed an absolute fear of walking on our laminate flooring and vinyl as such she simply refuses to come down stairs for hours on end. Does anyone know of some sort of adhesive transparent product that can be stuck to the floor to provide some sort of pathway throughout the house?

many thanks

Greg

Machine washable, non slip mats - or non-slip vetbed. It`s what I use to make `stepping-stones` for my oldies.
I have it at the bottom of the stairs and at doorways - anywhere they change direction or pace and are likely to slip.

f it is transpanent then it might not help as she wont be able to see a safe surface to walk on, she would probably much prefure mats that she can walk on, most dogs are happy to put an odd foot on the floor going between mats

You can buy transparent hard floor protector for use when decorating but as it's also got a smooth finish I can't see it would be much help. It's also not particularly hard wearing as it lasts about a month tops. If it's because she slips around on the laminate would paw wax help?
I think I'd be inclined to go for a carpet runner tbh.

Hi, glad I found this post - i'm about to make the move from carpet to wood laminate. I have 2 jack russells and I'm concerned from what i've been hearing they won't warm to it at all. Or do most dogs adjust! Thanks!

I have just had my lounge and dining room done. The dogs are fine. Its a bit slippery if they charge about but they soon learn. Even the old boy who isnt steady on his legs adapted very quickly. I do have a runner to the back door and a rug in both rooms.

We used to use Pad Wax when showing dogs in venues with slippery floors..

You can buy it on Amazon now.
