Brilliant news about your sister Lynn. And Griff I would get onto your Doctors, have to say my brother in law was/is down for a major operation had a phone call from the waitng list dept and they offered him a date he accepted obviously then when he went to see the consultant (medicine update) he said why did they offer you that
1. I don;t operate at that hospital
2. They do not have the facility for such a long (8=) hour operation
3. I am on annual leave.

Apparently to get the waiting lists down a dept has been set up to reduce lists - given a list of names and dates and phoning people. Apparently then you are taken off the waiting list but chaos being caused. Same happened to a lad at work waiting for a scan on his lungs, his gp had no idea why he had been put on hold/cancelled.

Thank goodness she has eaten something and its stayed down,Lynn
Griff, that is disgusting, you can barely walk now and you are on hold, what on earth for. So unfair when you have these health tourists fleecing the NHS out of millions and you can't even get yourself a scan

i have private cover who would pay but the problem is the private hospital can see nhs stuff but the nhs can't see the private stuff..i have to get it put onto a disk, give it to my consultant who gives it to the records dept who upload it and always lose the damn disks so i have to go back and pay for another disk
Kazz, it is one of my consultants who is sorting it as he gets things done quicker than the gp

Things are getting far to complicated re: health these days.
The trouble Peter has had getting someone down to an urgent blood test for Gill is beyond a joke this is urgent it will tell them if she viable for the radiotherapy or not.
All this passing the buck nonsense needs sorting.

I wonder if it would be better being a working dog for the police force ? Good discipline and a job to do.
Maybe it didn't get the socialisation that puppies need. Or maybe the the dog is a natural 'pack leader' but that wouldn't mean attacking humans, it's a puzzle. Being in a job with the Police would be good but possibly too late in it's life now.

Despite all the research and the huge number of books written by all sorts, fact is we are not all that close to really understanding dogs.

Possible I suppose. But I have tested the ground. There are lots of kids around here and they all play with him.
Sad reflection on the world today. You're only a few minutes I guess. Where we used to live it was quite common to see dogs tied up outside shops but that was the real rural life where most people lived off the land in one way or another.

Urbanisation has a lot to answer for
