Rolling (SBT)

So far this week my Staff has rolled in a dead hedgehog a dead rabbit,a dead mouse, fox pooh, bird droppings, a slug, and to cap it all off a freshly deceased fox, most times If I can see she's about to roll I tell her Leave and she comes away, out on walks she's continually sniffing around for something to roll in, does anyone elses dog do this, and why is she so keen to smell of a dead animal

I think 90% of dogs do this honey. Coming home with a stinking dog is par for the course.

The strange thing is my SBT hates being on his back so therefore will not roll, not sure why this is? I have had him since he was 10 weeks old and he has always been like it.

To be honest though he is a bit strange anyway bless him lol!

Dogs roll in stinky stuff to mask their scent...

Presumably in the world this is for when they are hunting and want to smell as little like a dog as possible!

Sadly, most dogs haven't grasped the idea that they don't need to hunt, and therefore don't need to smell of fox poo!!

Now, if I could find out why my dogs eat poo I'd be happy (not their own poo, or even dog poo - but horse, chicken, sheep and rabbit poo!)

:
which in principle is very clever - however bruno and "hunting " = very loud grunting as bruno "creeps" up on the fox in the park at night ........the grunting gets so loud that the fox hears him from about 20 miles away and bolts - bruno with his little fat legs starts to run after him and the fox quite literally runs rings round him - this happens every night and every night bruno tries in vain to catch his fox !!! pmsl........

i am sure people who live near the park probably report hearing pot bellied pigs in the park every night - just my bruno !!!
