Ralphie, Jack Russell Terrier, DOB 25.12.07 – Farnham, Surrey

Ralphie, Jack Russell Terrier, DOB 25.12.07 – Farnham, Surrey

Homing Requirements: Ralphie needs a family who appreciate terriers and can delight in Ralphie's charms as we do. He needs a secure garden and exit management as he was escaping with the help of children in his last home. Confidence building would help Ralphie find himself within the adversity of change he has faced.

His Story: Ralphie was homed as a puppy through a Rescue Centre when he was 3 months old and stayed for 2 years. He came into another Rescue last year and was handed back after 9 months in April for escaping through open doors. We were asked to take little Ralphie on, to find him his terrier home. Simply delighted to help this great lad. Neutered, chipped and vax'd. Currently in boarding kennels near Farnham.

Advert: Ralphie is everything the 'Jack'. He has his fan club as a result and yet just hasn't found a family who 'gets' his needs and can engender his sense of self belief. Our lad can get barky in new settings but actually soon settles. Ralphie is delighted to investigate, explore and discover. Busy mind and is very rewarding as a participant ‘play mate’. Extender lead walks currently for him to gain connection and learn to meet dogs with courtesy. Travels well and is housetrained.

Ralphie is a tri-colour Jack Russell who has stamina, welcoming attitude and a proven history with children. Ralphie is just finding his feet in our care. We are on a path of discovering as his thread reveals below. Terrier people will soon unravel his charms, occupy his questions and provide the structure to challenge his well meaning and kind energy. Ralphie is a true friend.

"Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found".

If you are interested in re-homing please complete our homing questionnaire so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.

Ralphie has gone into foster, but is still waiting for his forever home to come along ...

His fosterer says: "Here's Ralphie on his Sunday walk. What a good lad he is, even if he is a bit vocal on meeting new dogs....but fine after he has said "hello". Getting on well with Jackson....hope he does as well with Barney when he arrives tomorrow".

Ralphie is sharing the foster home with two other dogs.

An update from Lynne on Ralphie:

"Oh the joy to meet Ralphie in his foster home yesterday. John reported over the past few days he has been settling so well, then we introduce Barney! Well Ralphie was so excited outside but settled. We then went into the home and they fell into mammoth play. Just what each needed, and they played with such skill and care. They only 'tippled over' once but were soon back enjoying their company together, with Jackson overseeing his lounge demolished (Not really, only slightly!) Here are a few pictures I took 2 weeks ago of Ralphie but never had the chance to display".

Ralphie is still available for adoption.
