Daily Thread, Thursday, February 18

Good Morning everyone,

I see you had fun and games with the girls again last night June, is it because they are in season or coming into season.

Glad Dex is eating at least and soon should be back on course.

Girls hope you hands are getting better today.

Lynn, will be good to have Gorden home tonight.

LG, do take care and keep yourself warm and let the mem care for you.

Eileen, hope you your mum, sarah and the babies are all doing well.

Norma, hope Mr Fritz is coming on ok.

Have a good day everyone, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless.

Hope Dex and mem's cats are well on the mend now and that Gordon is feeling better today also, though flu can't take sometime to get over.

Also hope Mr. Fritz is feeling more himself today Norma.

Hope your head and hand are better today Brenda.

My hand is drying up nicely now and isn't sore at all. Up early this morning so Teazle out before there rain which is forecast for later. Nothing planned for today just messing around.

Morning all, Norma at least when it is frosty they stay clean. Unfortunately hand will never get better. There is an operaton but they say it may come back so as long as I can cope not to go with it. The noise is noise so that also has to be put up with. Some days are worse than others. Anyway have a good day all. Hope your hand is better Sue. Hope Dillon is behaving, although I like a bouncy dog, shows they are happy. LG hope you are ok today. It will take time. Moyra water down the juice a bit, makes it last longer. Griff hope you are ok. June let them play out if they want to. I bet it is because someone is late coming into season. bfn everyone.

No one's in season as yet Brenda, they are revving up to it though, and Zen, being the youngest, is the one that gets the brunt of the PMT which is hanging in a massive cloud over us.
I don't want them playing out at night because if they start being noisy there is bound to be someone who complains about the noise, and after all people do have to get up to go to work, kids to school etc. Everyone is really good about the girls and I want to keep it that way, so I don't encourage excessive barking or howling. Mind you the jet wash that someone uses a bit further down really does kick the howling off!!!
Very misty here this morning, and cold, have left the heatlamps on for the next hour or so, they are on low, and it feels nice and warm in there, but not overly. Will switch them off in a while when they are sleeping their brekkies off.
We can get out today as no rain, although its forecast again over the weekend. Got a food delivery as well, he usually drops it off about 11am, have done well this time, it all lasted 4 weeks and still got a couple of days worth left. He has no venison necks at the moment. He has 10 pigs ears (fresh) for £5 so have got them, not sure how big they're going to be as want them for their tea, they need to keep them busy for a while and not be gone in a couple of crunches.
Hoping you feel better in yourself Moyra, keep warm and put the fire on.
Glad to hear the hand is better, Sue. Barry says he has a tool for everything so maybe he can take over the work the hand does
Brenda, how long does the benefit of the op last for, would it be worth doing, and could they repeat it if needs be.
Great that Mr Fritz is feeling better this morning and enjoyed his breakfast, he's had a nasty shock to his system poor boy,

Back from our walk sunny and cold and damp underfoot.
We let Dillon have his bouncing brenda like you say shows they are happy and plus if they stop bouncing for longer than usual you know something may be wrong.
Glad to hear Mr.Fritz is feeling better Norma.
Is it cold in Essex Moyra ? If so pop a fire on or cuddle up with a hot water bottle that's what I use to do when we had no heating last winter.

Saw an old haunt of mine on the tele this morning from when I lived in Brentwood Essex. The local farm shop they were talking about people and wonky veg and the supermarkets ridiculous cosmetic perfect stance. If people had ever grown their own or had parents that did they would know not every vegetable is perfect but tastes just as good if not better for being grown organically.

June I didn't mean at night, just early evening but I suppose if it is wet then that isn't good. I have been watching the Westminster show and quite fancy the Icelandic Sheepdog although I do like a drop tail as not really a fan of seeing bottoms. Off for a walkies with Tyto as it is dry now and the sun is trying to come out.

Morning
Lynn, i believe it is something to do with the EU as regards the veg...cucumbers have to be straight, potatoes a certain shape etc...asda are starting to sell "wonky veg" boxes
http://your.asda.com/news-and-blogs/...ruit-veg-boxes
Norma, pleased to hear Mr Frtiz is more like himself
TW, hope the pigs ears turn out to be super strong and keep the girls occupied
Moyra, hope it isn't too cold or wet where you ar
Sue, your messing about days are still jam packed with busyness
Brenda, my mates just had his trigger finger done and is fine, as TW says, might be worth looking into
Dex cat still hasn't produced anything...he did have a wee and decided to miaow and tell me whilst i was in bed this morning...he is a bit grumpy as i changed his cat litter to wood pellets instead of his nice pink scented litter, so much cleaner in the kitchen plus i don't need to do battle with him to get near his eyes to make sure there is no kitty litter in there Lol
