RIP Jake

We made the difficult decision to have our boy pts in Feb. We all still miss him so much. He was a rescue Irish Blue Staffy and we were grateful to have him from 2 to 14yrs old.
Weirdly in the last few weeks ive smelt him and even heard him running down the stairs (he wasnt allowed in bedrooms but the little ****** used to sneak up when we were out). Anyone else had this?

I lost our collie cross Lulu aged 15 in 2011-she died on my knee suddenly and it was just so awful.(We had had her since she was 10 weeks old along with her "brother"Buster and 2 cats Dougal and Rigsby.,all from the rescue I worked at)
Her death left me stunned and in so much pain and all I wanted was just 1 more day ,hour or minute with her.
A few days after we lost her I was in bed and was woken up by a feeling that she was there-I put out my hand to the side of the bed( where she used to come and stand when she wanted to come and snuggle up to me) and I felt her fur.It gave me SUCH comfort as if she was saying-I am here mum.Sending you BIG HUGS -I am sure Jake is trying to tell you the same thing.
God bless
Maureen

So sorry for your loss and what a comforting feeling it must be to feel their presence.
I never had that but hopefully one day. x
Sending big hugs

Mine are still with me. I dream of them often, or think I hear them breathing. I can bring their smell easily to memory. Feel the weight of Laszlo's paw or the texture of Berkeley's abundant fuzzy Gandalf ruff. Time may go by but their imprint is indelible. Little bits of Jake will always shine through in you and for you wherever the rest of your life takes you.
