I will see if I can pick up Marley and me at the airport, i've had no success so far, if I can then I can participate in the first one.

My selection for feb as I've already bought it for my hols is

The Island by Victoria Hislop, recommended by Murphy and Maplecottage as being brill, it's had mixed reviews elsewhere but hey here's the link check it out.

looks ok to me, have you already read it?

The links are a good idea don't you think that way it's impartial and should make it easier to vote for the monthly choice, no worries about upsetting anyone if after you read the book you don't like it.

Marley and Me is looking like a good first one as lots of us seem to have been given it!!! Must start to read it!!!

Trouble, the l;inks are a good idea aren't they? Yes, I've read it already but not for a while (like 10 years plus) so have no problem reading it again, you often pick things up you didn't before on a second read through don't you?

Yes you do, although I must admit I rarely keep books I have read, I give them to charity shops otherwise we would be knee deep in them
