Pigs head

Should I freeze it first? I'm not sure how much of it the dogs will eat, but if they dont finish it is it ok to put in the freezer for them to finish off another day?

Steve is getting me one from smithfields market tomorrow (only £2) ...I think he is quite excited about taking it home from work with him on the train tomorrow!

Mine get pigs ears on the pigs head.

I get one from Leanne every now and then and stick it out on the garden and let the dogs have half an hour upto an hour with it each. Whatever is left I bag and put in the freezer till the next day.

I know that British pork is supposed to be free from that parasite now, even so, I still freeze pork for three weeks before feeding, just to be on the safe side

How long do you freeze for? Maybe I will tell him to hold off on the pigs ears until I know they will eat them!

I froze it for at least 2 weeks but it was already frozen when I got it.
I freeze most meat for a week before I feed, things like rabbit, pork or anything I've found, like pheasant for longer, roughly 3 weeks.
Pigs heads take up loads of room, I prefer trotters for that reason, still take him ages to eat.

You know when you move it won't be "hello darling I'm home, here are some flowers" it'll be "hello darling here is a pigs head"
