First day of Milo's behavier adjustment training

Hi, I am so glad that I have been able to use a technique which has proven success for dogs like Milo who have lead aggression anxiety when confronted by other dogs. It was C&D that put me on to this and I can't thank her enough.
This morning I took Milo for his walk and on three occasions when we saw a dog approaching, I stopped and turned Milo around and let him calm down treating him when he was calm. We did this on three occasions and Milo responded well without barking at the other dogs.

THANK YOU CLAIRE FOR
THE HELP
!!DUNCAN AND MILO!!

He's coming along a treat I'm so proud of him, the help and advice I've been given is priceless. When we took Milo in we didn't know the depth of his problem, so when we found out that he'd been savaged by a GSD when he was a pup, on top of that us being owners number!!4!! it does make you angry. So what I've done is to start his training at the begining and tackle the most severe problem first. He's so good with the basic commands I'm sure that he'll come through this sooner rather than later.

Well done, don't worry if you appear to go backwards at some point. Just stick at it.

Great news, well done ClaireandDaisy! and to you too!

BAT is a good system I think

I was lucky enough to attend Grisha Stewart's seminar day in Surrey a while ago and enjoyed seeing a GSD being worked with this method.

Do you know there is a book and dvds out?

book:

Hi , yes I totally agree with you it is good, Claire was able to give me the link for Grisha Stewart's training video on youtube. The technique is very effective and with it being repeated over and over, after a few times I found Milo alot calmer but it is early days yet and he is just at the bottom of the ladder. I don't think it will be long before he reaches the top. Anyway thanks for those links they're a great help.

Cheers!!
